Paul and Chern Hui met through a speed dating event over pasta and pizza where Chern Hui got a little intrigued by Paul’s diving stories. Sadly, he didn’t ask for her contact number after the event. Luckily for her, though, Paul had her email address and sent her an email to ask her out for lunch. Yay! On their first date, their conversations about Muay Thai, travelling and Chern Hui’s teaching anecdotes excited them both to go on a second date -- a Zumba session! Eventually, Paul wrote Chern Hui a letter to ask her to be his girlfriend. Intent on not letting go of a man who was so patient, disciplined and forgiving, Chern Hui easily agreed. Now the rest is history, and Paul is nothing short of loving the spontaneity and good nature of his fiancé. Paul and Chern Hui decided to engage Angie from Confetti Peektures for their pre-wedding shoot and before the actual photoshoot, Angie met with our couple over coffee to get to know them better. She found out more about their love story and their location preference. She also sent Paul and Chern Hui a questionnaire to fill in to know even more details about them and they share that “it was a fun weekend activity for us to work on.” “Knowing that she loves nature and flowers, Paul would always encourage her to go for the 11km trail around MacRitchie Reservoir Park, promising to take her to the nearby wholesale flower market right at the end of the trail.” Our couple eventually chose to have their pre-wedding photos taken at MacRitchie Reservoir Park as it holds many memories for them: Paul is a fitness junkie while Chern Hui is the complete opposite. But knowing that she loves nature and flowers, Paul would always encourage her to go for the 11km trail around the park, promising to take her to the nearby wholesale flower market right at the end of the trail. Paul and Chern Hui also liked how MacRitchie offered many photo-taking opportunities at the iconic tree stump, dock, lots of grass for picnic shots and lovely garden benches. Dogs were also allowed at the areas where they shot at, so they could include their dog in the shoot too! As Paul dresses formally all the time for work and enjoys being in his comfortable plain tee, shorts and slippers, he and Chern Hui decided to opt for a more casual shoot. Also, the idea of being in formal wear outdoors did not really appeal to them. Instead, they wanted to have fun and to not be restricted by long gowns and warm suits. Paul and Chern Hui enjoy spending their Saturday afternoons at Marina Barrage having a picnic and flying their kite. They often use the cylindrical picnic basket in the pictures to store their grapes, picnic mats and a flask of oolong tea. Furthermore, as a lover of all things rustic, romantic and whimsical, Chern Hui decided to have a picnic-themed pre-wedding shoot. That was also the reason she was drawn to Confetti Picture’s portfolio -- it just fit the kind of pictures she loves! What’s more, our couple share that in the questionnaire, “Angie had props neatly categorised in themes. We chose the 'rustic' theme and it fit nicely with our location.” Double the joy for our rustic-loving bride-to-be! “We liked Angie's approach in photo-taking. She managed to catch many of our candid moments perfectly.” Paul and Chern Hui enjoyed their shoot, sharing that “we liked Angie's approach in photo-taking. She managed to catch many of our candid moments perfectly. She makes us feel very at ease during the shoot and she has her interesting ways to help us calm our bundle of nerves to capture the best photos of us” Inspired hold your pre-wedding shoot at a meaningful location in Singapore?
