Wedding shoots don’t always have to take place at eye-catching and popular landmarks. Sometimes, travelling off the beaten path may lead you to uncover gems that not only take your breath away, but also look absolutely enchanting in your wedding photos too! Trusting our local photographer Arnel, our Malaysian couple Ariel and Jia Kang got the chance to explore lesser-known places in Paris such as the Colonnes de Buren and the Petit Palais for their wedding shoot. The result, “to [our couple’s] surprise, turned out really beautiful!”. In fact, for our couple who met at their Master of architecture, our photographer even went out of his way to select locations with architectural value. Quick tip: the best spot to get a photo of the Eiffel Tower is not at the Tour de Eiffel unlike popular belief, but at the Trocadero! The first stop for Ariel and Jia Kang was the Trocadero. Quick tip: the best spot to get a photo of the Eiffel Tower is not at the Tour de Eiffel unlike popular belief, but at the Trocadero! Located right across from the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadero’s wide esplanade affords for an open view of the great Eiffel Tower. Just see how pretty the Eiffel Tower is in the background of our couple’s photos! Our couple then moved onto Pont de Bir-Hakeim, a famous architectural landmark, for our couple to have some photos taken. Ariel and Jia Kang then took a train to the Pont Alexander III as suggested by our photographer, with his vast knowledge of Paris and of the couple’s wants. A classified French Monument historique (national heritage site), the bridge is widely regarded as the most ornate and extravagant bridge in the city. The bridge indeed gives a classier feel to our couple’s photos. Kudos to Arnel, their photographer for his great recommendation! The next stop for our couple was at the Petit Palais, an art museum built not only to look beautiful but also to be enduring. Another very apt suggestion by our photographer, this shoot location probably presented his wish for our architect couple. Ariel and Jia Kang then moved on to shoot at the ever popular Louvre pyramid. The reason for its popularity is evident – just look at how majestic it is! Nearby the Louvre, there sits a quaint little café, the Café Palais Royal, the perfect location for a simple yet classic wedding shoot. Ariel and Jia Kang then headed to the Colonnes de Buren, an art installation located in the inner courtyard of the Palais Royal. But of course, it’s not the art that our couple had their photos taken at. It’s the building and it looks magnificent! For couples who want to go to Paris for their wedding photoshoot, you can consider engaging our engagement photography services’.
