It’s been a growing trend to have your pre-wedding photos taken overseas. After all, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, why not go to a beautiful country to have your pictures taken there? But how do we start? There are so many different photographers and studios in all the different countries, how is it possible to go through all of them and yet remember exactly which pictures were taken by which photographers/studios? This was the dilemma of our couple from the United States, Sungwoo and Daria. Sungwoo’s wife wanted to do a studio wedding photoshoot in Korea, so he started researching online and found OneThreeOneFour. On our platform, they were able to easily look through the different Korean studios and compare their portfolios. From there, they chose to have their pre-wedding photoshoot at Bong Studio due to their various concept sets available, from romantic vintage to whimsical to the outdoors. Bong Studio is located at the outskirts of Seoul, about an hour's drive from the city. Being located slightly further away has its advantages as Bong Studio has a huge studio compound with a lush forest situated right in front of the studio. Known for their grand and vintage sets, couples often opt for both indoor photoshoots at these sets with some outdoor shots at the forest just outside. The Big Day In the morning, Sungwoo and Daria first headed to the salon, J by Loistaa, to have their makeup and hairstyling done and changed into their wedding suit and gown from Monguae. With Bong Studio’s sets decorated with cherry blossoms, roses and anachronic furniture, Sungwoo and Daria’s pictures came out looking timelessly romantic! They then proceeded to Bong Studio for their photoshoot. Sungwoo and his wife chose to have their pictures taken against all the different concept sets available. They first had their photos taken against the romantic vintage sets. With Bong Studio’s sets decorated with cherry blossoms, roses and anachronic furniture, Sungwoo and Daria’s pictures came out looking timelessly romantic! Our couple then moved to the whimsical sets, characterised by their brightly coloured walls and flowers that scream “fun!” Sungwoo and his wife then moved to the lush forest right in front of Bong Studio for their outdoor-themed photoshoot. With a beautiful flower garden, tree-lined paths and various props, our couple was able to take many different types of outdoor photos without the hassle of having to travel far. How is the Bong Studio team like? "When we arrived in Korea and met up with the team, they made sure we were taken care of." Sungwoo had nothing but compliments for Bong Studio and their team, “when [they] arrived in Korea and met up with the team, they made sure [Sungwoo and Daria] were taken care of”. Throughout the shoot, the coordinator from Bong Studio helped them with their attire adjustments and makeup touch-ups, making sure that they did not have to worry about anything other than their photo-taking.
