Wedding planning is tough. To be honest, time is better spent catching an episode of Running Man than nitpicking which floral pattern to be printed on the wedding invitation card. But my fiancée doesn’t deserve to carry the full workload of the wedding planning.
This is my point of view on the various aspects of wedding planning process, things that I care and things that I care less. Hopefully, this will help brides out there gain an insight what’s going on in the groom’s head.

Things That A Groom Cares
Money, money, money
It’s money, OUR money. I have found away around this issue and that is to plan a budget for your wedding, together with your partner. Allocate the amount for various parts of the wedding, so that whoever that is responsible knows how much he/she can spend.
Suit Up
I want to look good on my wedding day too! Unless the groom has zero opinion, let the man plan how he want to suit up himself and his groomsmen.
Food
A delicious feast makes my guests happy. I want my guests to be happy, that’s why I’m picky over the selection of food. Let me take care of this honey!
Honeymoon
I think this is going to be the best part of our wedding. I’m super excited for this! I want to plan something special for our trip, where we’re going to have hell of a good time 😮
Things That A Groom Care Less
- Invitation Card: No comment, just pick the usual.
- Flower Decorations: Nothing.
- Reception Decor: Whatever the decor, just not unglam photos of my childhood.
- Gown & Brides mate Dresses: I want you to look your best on that day. Seeing you trying out the different outfits,
- Guest List: Oh~ Baby your guess is as good as mine. I’ve zero idea whether I should invite that cousin which I have never met for 10 years.
- Wedding Favours: Not too lame.
As long as you like it dear!
The truth is, most of the time I have no opinions about which colour, flower, or venue it is held at. As long as nothing is too extraordinary, I wouldn’t bat an eye.
Therefore, the best thing for my fiancee to be happy with her choices. After all, a happy fiancee is a happier me. Call it a lame excuse or whatever you want. I just want to make the already complicated wedding simple for my love.
Guys, if you’re reading this, do everyone a favour. You’re either all in or you’re out. Do not give any comments about the wedding decors when you were never involve in it since the start. Because if you want to have the right to comment, then be involve with the choosing of the decor.
