We all know how it feels like when your new favourite pair of shoes wouldn’t stop hurting you after merely 30 minutes of walking. Sometimes even limping because it just hurts so much!
Your wedding day should be filled with bliss and your first dance should be characterised by love & romance instead of agony and pain.
In order to save you from all the unnecessary and avoidable pain, here are some tips we have for you!

Break In Your New Shoes
This is the first & definitely the most important steps and I can’t emphasis further how important this is!
A new pair of shoes are normally stiffer and tend to feel tighter, causing it to pinch with every step. Therefore, it requires a period of time for the shoes to mould to your feet and this is what we call “breaking in”.
To “expand” your shoes, wear a pair of thick socks and walk around the house at least 30 minutes to an hour a day. For better results, wear it for a longer period of time! Do it daily for a week or two (some shoes may require a longer time to break in!) for the ultimate comfort on your wedding day.

Half Or A Full-Size Up
Hollywood stars tend to grace the red carpet in oversized shoes and that’s not without a good reason. Given that celebrities often have to stand for a long period of time, a pair of shoes that is half or even a full-size up will not rub or pinch the feet.
To prevent celebrities from leaving a side of their shoe on the red carpet as they sashay down, stylists work their magic on the soles by inserting a padding or double-sided tape to secure the heels.
Sole Inserts
You will surely appreciate a pair of soft padding to cushion your feet, providing as much comfort as it could. With the wide array of insole available in the market, you will certainly be able to find one that could solve your targetted problem. For instance, if the ball of your feet tends to hurt more then purchase one that cushions that part.

Hot Treatment
Expand your shoes with a hairdryer. The heat would increase the ductility of the material so slide into your pumps and wiggle your toes as you blast the hot hair. However, it is important that you evenly distribute the heat instead of constantly blowing at a targetted area as you might risk spoiling your heels due to overheating!

Ice Treatment
If the hairdryer method is too time-consuming for you, you can opt for a more hassle-free method. Prepare a bag of water, place it in your shoes and leave them in the freezer overnight. As the water freezes into ice, it will forcefully stretch your shoes. Take your shoes out and leave them in room temperature to thaw the ice and there you have it.
Stuffed Heels
Since you will not be wearing your heels to sleep, stuff your heels with newspaper and leave them overnight! Make sure to fill the shoes tightly so that there’s enough pressure exerted on the heels, giving you better results.

Deodorant
Little did you know, your clear gel deodorant may save your day! Apply them on points which tend to be more prone to blisters eg your ankle, toes etc to reduce the amount of friction.
If you are going to be wearing a pair of strappy heels, you might want to apply some onto the straps as well since thin straps exert greater pressures on feet which may cause greater discomfort.
